Algorithms integrated in control

Date of last update: 2007/06/04

In case a very high accuracy is requested, this can be usually achieved, up to the technological limit, through a lower machining speed, and thus a higher machining time, and vice versa. New algorithms are required, which allow to select between a trajectory that goes through all programmed points or a trajectory that smoothes the programmed path with a path error that can be easily customised by the operator (for instance, by programming the maximum acceptable path error).

 Developments performed :

  • Tests with parabolic interpolation
  • Tests with spline interpolation
