Software development for adaptive control in milling

Date of last update: 2007/07/02

Objective: Development of an Adaptive Control and Monitoring (ACM) software module

  • enables CNC machines to consistently run at their optimal capacity
  • receives information about real-time cutting conditions by measuring the power of the spindle drive motor
  •  ACM monitors actual cutting conditions in real- time and automatically adjusts the feed rate to  its highest feasible level during each operation

Integration in NC: ACM reads power of the spindle drive motor and generates feed rate through internal communication channels
