Wear Detection System for Monorail Guideway Systems

Date of last update: 2007/07/02

Objective:

  • High availability of the machine tool
  • High precision
  • Tranparent operation conditions
  • Maintenance based on actual condition
  • Cost minimisation

  • Guidance systems are key components of machine tools and manufacturing facilities susceptible to damages and breakdowns
  • Using integrated sensors and viable analysis methods, damages to guidance systems can be detected early
  • First results of a damage detection for guidance systems have been obtained for typical damage scenarios
  • To realise a safe condition monitoring and proper limit values, a Multiple Factor Analysis of key figures and signals within the industrial environment is necessary
  • First HMI implementation is realised
